Microneedling (also known as Collagen Induction Therapy or CIT) is a popular anti-aging service for treating and reversing the signs of aging, as well as scarring and improving your skin’s overall appearance.
During this procedure, fine sterile needles, or ‘microneedles,’ are used to penetrate the skin and create controlled injuries. This triggers a healing response that builds new collagen and elastin, improving skin tone, texture and firmness, and works to reduce the appearance of scarring, pore size, stretch marks, fine lines, and wrinkles. If you’re interested in keeping your skin smooth, resilient, and youthful, microneedling might be for you!
A consultation is required prior to treatment.
What can I expect during and after treatment?
Prior to your treatment, we topically numb the skin for 20-30 minutes in hopes that the treatment has little if any discomfort. The treatment if you can feel it, often feels scratchy. The treatment itself takes about 30 or so minutes. Once done, your face will appear red and possibly a little inflammation which will calm down within a few hours. Redness can last 1-3 days depending on your skin and how aggressive the treatment was done.

How often should I have this treatment?
The number of treatments needed for desired results may vary. Everyone’s skin is different, especially depending on what you are looking for as a results. We typically recommend 3-6 treatments spaced 3-4 weeks apart. It takes about 60-90 days for the full collagen remodeling process to take place.
How long does treatment last?
Results can last about 12 or so months after a series, and maintenance treatments will be suggested. Nothing with skin has a permanent results, as our body continues to age every day after such treatments. Results also can vary depending on lifestyle choices and skin care use.
